The Portfolio Overview gives you a high-level snapshot of your investments. It shows asset allocation, total portfolio value, invested amount, gains or losses, and key return metrics. This report helps you quickly understand where your portfolio stands today.
4. What is Smart Rebalancing and does it execute any transactions? ▼
Smart Rebalancing checks whether your investments have drifted away from a balanced allocation. If certain asset classes or funds have become overweight or underweight, it suggests adjustments to restore balance. These are advisory suggestions only — no buying or selling happens automatically.
5. What does the Monthly Insights report help me understand? ▼
Monthly Insights focuses on recent activity and changes. It highlights portfolio movement, SIP contributions, market impact, and performance changes during the selected month. This report helps you stay informed without needing to track markets daily.
6. What insights does the "My Portfolio View" report provide? ▼
My Portfolio View provides a smart, structured view of your portfolio's value, performance, allocation, and long-term wealth progress. It shows your best and worst performing funds, top wealth contributor, longest investment, and recent six-month allocation trends — all in one quick view.
7. What do the system status messages mean? ▼
Report shows 🟢 green when the report generation system is working properly.
API shows 🟢 green when the required market data sources are accessible.
If either dot turns 🔴 red, it is usually temporary — refresh the page and try again after a few minutes.
8. Is my uploaded portfolio saved permanently? ▼
Your uploaded file is used only for generating reports and is not stored permanently.
9. Why do I see two XIRR return numbers in my report? ▼
The two XIRR values measure different aspects of performance.
One reflects how you invested over time.
The other reflects how your portfolio is performing today.
Both are correct and serve different purposes.
10. What is Health XIRR? ▼
🩺 Health XIRR focuses on your investing behavior. It gives higher importance to invested amounts and timing. It reflects discipline, consistency, and long-term investing habits.
11. What is Performance XIRR? ▼
📈 Performance XIRR reflects how your portfolio is performing today. It gives more weight to current portfolio value and aligns closely with what you see as your present wealth.
12. Why can Health XIRR and Performance XIRR differ? ▼
Health XIRR focuses on investment timing and amounts. Performance XIRR focuses on current value and growth. Strong or weak performance in certain investments can cause the two values to differ — this is expected.
13. Which XIRR should I look at first? ▼
To assess investing discipline, start with Health XIRR. To understand current portfolio performance, refer to Performance XIRR. Together, they provide a complete view.
14. Are both XIRR numbers correct and clearly labeled? ▼
Yes, both are calculated correctly and clearly labeled:
🩺 Health XIRR – Based on invested amounts
📈 Performance XIRR – Based on current value
This avoids confusion and improves clarity.
15. What does "Outperformed" or "Underperformed" mean in Fund Performance Analysis? ▼
This compares your fund's return with its benchmark index.
🟢 Outperformed – Fund delivered higher returns than the benchmark
➖ Matched – Fund performed broadly in line
🔴 Underperformed – Fund delivered lower returns
It helps assess whether the fund manager is adding value.
16. Should I exit a fund if it is underperforming in Fund Performance Analysis? ▼
Not necessarily. Short-term underperformance is common.
Before deciding, review:
⏳ Performance over at least 3–5 years
📊 Consistency vs benchmark
🔎 Any strategy or fund manager changes
Avoid reacting to short-term market noise.
17. Why is benchmark comparison important? ▼
Benchmarks show how the broader market performed.
📈 They help measure relative performance
🎯 They reveal whether a fund generated excess return (alpha)
This ensures fair and meaningful evaluation.
18. What do the summary widgets at the top represent in My Portfolio View? ▼
The summary widgets provide a quick financial snapshot of your portfolio — including total value, total invested amount, total redeemed, net investment, overall gain/loss, and number of funds. They help you understand your current financial position instantly without going through detailed tables.
19. What insights do the performance and discipline widgets provide in My Portfolio View? ▼
These widgets highlight your top and bottom performing funds, longest-held investment, and best wealth creator. They help you evaluate investment consistency, performance quality, and which funds have contributed most to your long-term wealth growth.
